UFRN terá Workshop sobre o setor de petróleo


A UFRN em parceria com cientistas de universidades do Reino Unido está promovendo hoje a tarde um workshop sobre exploração de petróleo e gás em águas profundas.

O objetivo é reunir cientistas do Reino Unido e pesquisadores brasileiros para vencer os desafios da exploração em águas profundas. Os pontos de discussão vão incluir o uso de imagens sísmicas para mapear e datar as rochas petrolíferas.

Também será debatida a geração de óleo, a recuperação aprimorada de petróleo de baixa superfície e a otimização do fluxo a partir da plataforma de perfuração da refinaria.

O encontro também oferecerá uma oportunidade de compartilhar conhecimentos sobre novas tecnologias e o desenvolvimento de um material corrosivo para trabalhar em ambientes hostis.

O evento começa hoje e vai até quarta feira a partir das duas da tarde nos Departamento de Geofísica e do Instituto de Química da UFRN.
